Hi, I'm having some problems trying to start my atv. I think it might be the carburetor but i'm not sure. It turns over and tries to start, but it seems likes it's not getting any gas. and after turning over a few times it'll fire just once but not start. Does this sound like a bad carb? I'm not really sure what to look for with the carb. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you pulled the spark plug out to see if it was fouled?

Also make sure your battery is FULLY charged. Sometimes they will be charged enough to turn over but not turn enough RPM's to start the quad.

Spark plug looks alright. I'll check the battery, any other ideas?

im not sure if there is a screen on the petcock or not on your tank but on my 1987 250x tank there was a screen and it was alll clogged up... maybe take the petcock off and see? pull the carb off with gas still in the bowl and hit the thumb and see if the accelrator pump is still squirting gas..
