my buddie has a 03 Z, fairly stock with just yoshi slip on.
his clutch started slipping like 3 gear and up past half throttle it will slip pretty bad, we took the whole clutch pack apart and it looked like new. his clutch cable seems to be frayed or somthnig inside because it doesn't release all the way so we are gettign a new one on tues and we will see if that works.
even in neutral you rev it up just past half throttle and it starts bogging and sputtering. my guess is that he might need a new plug and if that doesn't cure it then it's either electrical or carb problems.
has anyone else had prolems like this? all of this started after it was put away for winter(the gas is new).
sorry for the long post.

Did you notice if there were grooves worn into the clutch basket or not? If there were that wil definately cause slipping and for it not to fully release or engage.
