hey just curious has anyone else had any trans problems with their ex? because i do ive got an 02 and i just got it out for the season the other day and all of a sudden 2nd gear feels like its missing teeth i dont know how it might of happened. i drained the oil and i didnt find any bad metal shavings in it or the oil filter. any info is apperciated, thanks

I had a problem with 3rd gear some time ago. The teeth itself didn't break or come off, the shifting cogs rounded the edges and it would kick itself in and out of 3rd gear.

i just had the same thing happen with paddles at the dunes (don't think it was related to the paddles, just coincidence). i'm in the process of splitting the cases to find out what's wrong. actually, i'm at the dreaded 'removing the swingarm bolt' step of getting the engine out of the frame...
