i want to get some handguards for my quad, just for mx though. i just need them to protect my hands from rocks and mud, nothing heavy duty. since i have a twist throttle they need to mount on the bars. what would be a good choice for handguards?

i think the best looking is powermadds.hows the twist throttle fo the track ive thought about putting one on.anthing you dont like about it.thanks.aloha

i was looking at powermads or acerbis, but i'm not sure if the mounts will fit on the bars, since the bars are so crowded. i love the twist, the only problem i've had with it is you have to be careful while riding whoops and cornering not to hold onto the throttle tightly

I just put a set of powermadds on my quad. I have pro taper bars and they seems to fit up good. I am going to try them out this weekend so i will let you know how they hold up. But they feel pretty strong. Just my 2 cents

rox makes some billet mounts for powermadds. i have some and there reall nice.

i had powermadds on my old z with a twist mounted. you only need mabye a half inch on each side to get the mounting arm in there.

For MX, I personally like Cycra handguards the best!

powermadd are nice but i would like to get a wrap around style that looks just as good, and does an even better job for protection!

Posted by: suzukigirl

so i think i might go with the rox powermads..but i still can't figure out how i'm going to mount them on the left side (where the parking brake and everything is), since there is almost no space

I run the powermadd and really like them. I've put a set the last two quads I've owned. I had to replace the clutch perch with a aftermarket one I got from Magic Racing. The perch was around $20 and I removed the parking brake.

cycra they make few differnt kinds with the mounts you want

just get a dirt bike style clutch perch, the parking brake normally doesn't even work after the first few months.
