what is the cheapest way i can make my 400ex faster??

Smaller front sprocket, bigger rear sprocket, bigger diameter rear tires (that's the first numbers in a size ex. 22x7-10 <- 22 is the diameter) .... that's all I can think of!

for around $10 you can buy a smaller front sprocket and it will make your quad accelerate faster.

that depends what you want by speed
if you want a high top speed then then get a larger front sprocket and a smaller rear sprocket with larger tires, but you will lose acceleration
For accel then drop a tooth on the front sprocket and go up a couple teeth on the rear with smaller tires, but top speed will decline.

Does anyone know the aproximate speed of a stock 400 with 20's in the back and a 14 tooth in the front? Stock back sprocket.

i think the first thing anyone should ever do when they first buy a bike is put a pipe on it. theres better throttle response, sounds better...i mean its not "cheap" but, you are also in a very expensive sport. real honest speed is not cheap.

Id say take the lid off and rejet, then put on a 14t sprocket. You'll notice that
