one of my friends was riding his 06 300ex in his neighbors woods and a stick came flying up and went straight threw his googles and about 1 or 2 centimeter above his left eye. it broke his helment strap and ripped half the google lens off. Had to get a couple of stitches from that 1 lol.

That's why I wear ballistic goggles. The ones that they gave us when we deployed to Iraq. I had a $75 pair of goggles that a 2 inch railroad rock went through on my second ride with them. One thing you cannot mess around with is your eyes.

I've been riding about since I joined here, which isn't very long and riding the coal mining trails of PA.

I've been wacked in the goggles with a branch at least 30 to 50 times and have had a few pebbles hit them as well, in the short span I have been riding.

Not a snowballs chance in hell I would ride without them!!!!!!!!!

he was wearing googles...they were old junky googles and i cant figure out myself how the stick went threw the lense
