I'm wanting to get a 400 ex, but want the reverse from a 300.
I was wanting to ask you 400 ex riders if you ever wish you had reverse, or ever have needed it.

I would use mine for riding in trails and maybe even racing.

When I started racing I had a 250X and one of the first tings I did was take out the reverse to make it lighter and rev faster....

I got reverse on my utility and that is where it belongs, not on a sports quad...

Just my opinion......

When I first got my EX I was bummed about not having reverse, but after a while you get used to it, like not having power windows in your truck, it would be nice at times, but for the most part not absolutely nessecary. Plus it's not all that heavy to push a little to turn it around if need be.

My two buddies bought the warrior because it had reverse. They use it all the time because they have it. However, because I know I don't, I just leave room in case I have to turn around. I only usually have to get off and turn it around once, which isn't bad. I'd much rather have the power and better suspension than the reverse of the warrior or 300.

Never wish i had a reverse on my 400, get the 400 or you will regret it.

i have reverse on my 400ex, yip, its called get your ***** off and push..lmao...well actually i cut my front fenders off and i just use my foot to roll the front tire to back up...no biggie :devil

I have a 250x the reverse is a pain in the a** it takes to many steps just to get it in reverse:grr :grr

, a lot of times I get off an push my fourwheeler around before I can get it in reverse, My friend has a 400 with a few mods, that thing rocks compared to mine. Go with the 400 you know you want to!!!

I dont wish i had reverse its just more waeight and i do mostly racing and i know if i spin out im wouldnt use reverse anyways it would take to long

Just because soemthing has reverse doesn't mean it is neccarily heavier, the Z400 has liquid cooling and reverse and is lighter than the 400EX. I use reverse all the time, its not even a hassel for me anymore, I am in and out of reverse very quickly, when I first got my 300, it resisted, now it doesn't do it at all, I just pull up on the lever, back up, stop, push the lever down with my foot and when my foot is on the way down I click into first gear and I am off.
