having problems with my carb leaking from the drain tube on the bottom of the bowl screw is tight it has a 158 main and thats it i dont no what up please help

Sounds like a sticking float. Most likely the carb needs to be removed and cleaned.

if the float was sticking would it run bad because it seems to be runing fine im new to all this still learning thanks for the help

mine did the same and i ended up having to replace the float cause it was cracked
