I got my pipe to mount in the mottle of my subframe like the ltr but my air filter wont fit. Did any one else ever do this b4?

No way I could run a air box im going to run no box just filter. With just the filter theirs no room for the filter at less i made teh K&n filter 1-2 inches short. Is that ok if i did or would i loose power?

just get a smaller k&n then. what you should do is see where the filter WILL fit then build a custom airbox to move it there. i've seen a clear one out of plexy that was formed with parts of the stock airbox

Well I got the muffler mounted in the mittle now. For now the filters mounted off to the left side under the fender.

to me, that is not a safe place. rocks, mud, and dirt get thrown up into the fenders from the tires....so it would hit the filter, and most likely cause damage to the filter...can we see some pics of the pipe though?

and maybe a foam filter would be better for you. they are more flexible so you could fit it into a space more easily

I don't like the spot its in either. I think that the chain might hit the intake boot when the shock compresses all the way down but not sure I haven't tested for that.

I might try my stock foam filter.

For the mid pipe I used 2" exhaust pipe its really flex able but the bad thing is its steel and will rust.

unless it is stainless steel. maybe you could try that flexible plastic tubing that they use for like pools and stuff. just gotta make sure it isn't too small. but then you wouldn't need to worry about rust.

maybe you can mount it up by where the snorkel would be. there is probably room up there...

Could I mount the air filter up front? If I ran big tube that was like 4" around or would I loose power?

thats what im saying. no you would only loose power if you ran an intake tube smaller than the stock one. otherwise you'll be fine with a 4' tube. it would be safer to run it up front i think...maybe behind the headlight cover or something
