I would love to know what people think of there 400ex is it fast is it good for trails ext

400Ex's are like the slowest sport quad you can get. But yes they are good for trails, and just playing around.

haha ya i agree. there not the fastest but there not the slowest by far.
i love my 400ex. great for trails and the track.

I'm not saying they ARE the slowest sport quad. But for a sport quad they arn't that quick compared to everything else. If you are comparing to a 300 ex, etc then yes they probably seem quick. But to the other sport quads...YFZ 450, 450ER, Raptor's, Banshee, etc..they are slow. I guess I'm just saying in my opinion from the ones I have driven, they arn't that fast, just a good all around quad for trailing, track.

well the 400 started in 99 so there wasnt any of the 450's out likether are now and if they wanted to have a fast quad to stick with the yfz adn all them 450 they would of started with the 450r in 99 but imo i think that there are a fast quad my buddy races 2 of them and they beat 450 all the time, im in the c cals and he works his way half way up to the b cals and he passes over half of them. i think that there a good quad but imo im not gonna buy one.. i like yamaha too much and there selling really cheap 160 around here and if there pimped out mabie 2000.. there cheap and they have been out for many yeasrs and nothing really has changed untill the reverse on the newer ones. but thats about it. i think there a good and fast quad. 65 fast enough for me.. i dont need to do 80 or 100
