My little bro just bought a 07' LTR450. We rode the dunes on Sat. and thought yeah this thing is sweet but we thought for sure the baffle was holding it back.... So last night we took the baffle out and WOW this thing wants to scream!!!

I have searched but just want some reassurance... If we get a Cherry Bomb on it and take out the baffle will it run ok? And be ok longevity wise?

Thanks!

Yes,

If you remobe the baffle, and air box lid, you need to add the Cherry Bomb. It puts the EFI on a second more agressive mapping.

Without the CB you're gonna run too lean, and that will cause problems for you.

I thought the Cherry Bomb remaped the CDI and the fuel injection knew how to adjust itself and you had to get the PIM for the actual fuel injection to change and the FIMAK to adjust the injection from there? I've read that both ways since the LTR came out. I'm still leary about getting one. It seems like everyone has a different opinion of what the same thing does.

If you are running no baffle/lid you need the cherry bomb, otherwise you will be running lean. The FI does not compensate by itself, you need a different map. The CRMB changes the map. If you do further mods you need a powercommander or PIM/FIMAK. Anyone who tells you different has no idea what they are talking about, end of story

There is a second map in the bikes computer & all the CRBM does is open that second map & let the bike run on IT. GET a CRBM!!! Ray.
