Put it in the dryer for a few minutes to heat it up and make it soft. And get an electric staple gun because you will never get them through the plastic on that seat.

I was too chicken to do my own, and couldnt find a staple gun the size they reccommended so, I had an upholstery shop do it for 10.00bucks..

turned out nice..

Its actually pretty easy but i wanted to make sure mine was right so I had an upholstery shop do mine too,,,they usually charge $10-20!!!!!!

I was really impressed with there workmanship and quality, but ontl gripe is mine is still pretty slick and dang near fell off it the first time riding...lol...it getting a good wear to it now, not as bad as it was at first..Is that where you got yours??nice seat:blah

Yeap thats where I got mine,,,,thats my only worry too is it being slippery,,,especally with the pull my bike will have!!!

Thats why I really wanted a gripper top seat cover but I really liked the look of the atvseatcovers.com ones!!! They are a great price and they are different from what most other people have!!

i tell ya what, in sand drags w/ gripper seat and all those whoops you'll get major monkey butt, i love slick seats, i can move on them easier.

with a gripper seat, you really need to wear the "fancy pants" (fox, oneil, thor, msr, etc....). After a hard day of riding in the dunes or on the trails, I don't get monkey butt, but if I wear jeans on my gripper seat, I get a case of monkey butt in just a few hours. I've also heard that if you wear spandex biking shorts under your pants, you won't be looking for that inflatible donut to sit on either.

lol.. ok, someone "diefine" what Monkey butt is to me..

I know we rode an average of 8 hrs. a day for three days, and Man, was my tushie sore...lol..

I do wear Oneal pants when I ride all the time..

Ha Ha! Monkey butt is pure evil. you'll know when you get it what it is. Some people also call it Baboon *****. Now if you can get an image of what a baboons butt looks like, all red and sore lookin'. That is monkey butt. If it burns in the shower you got it bad!

I get it worse when I wear denim on my gripper seat than if I wear riding pants. Especialy on the dunes.
I am switching to a stock seat cover. My 400 has always had the gripper on it, so I gotta see if the other is better.

I wore some spandex riding one time and for some reason when i sweat they start making me itch!! So i wear some boxer briefs(a mix between underwear and boxers) and then wear the spandex over those!! It makes $hit get kinda cramped up but that can be situated,,monkey butt cant

LOL... Well. being that Im a girl.. I dont have that "cramped" thing going on...lol..Oh, you cant have "itch" goin on when riding..that would be awefull.think about it,your riding.. you get to scratchin, lose control ..roll your bike..how would you explain that to all your friends...lol..
