Ok guys,
I have a 07 250, I don't ride the dunes. I trailride and stuff with stock tires, no paddles. But my sister and her husband were going to buy two of them to come out with my family. But their salesman in San Diego told them it couldn't go to the Imperial Sand Dunes because it was only a 250.
Does anyone care to dispute that for the sake of my sister's purchase?

yes hey are fine uphills and sand dunes the salesman wanting to get more of a commision off of a bigger bike that has more markup i would suggest piping it and jetting it to get better torque but tell them they will be happy

Its been a while since my 250 was stock, and i dont ride in the dunes, but i do occasionally ride in sand.

The effects of sand combined with serious elevation may make the 250 feel pretty anemic. that said, it should be able to be used at the dunes. It might not be fast, but it should get the job done.

yea you gotta watch out with those salesmen like the 1st post hes just trying to make more money off of you.... if you have to get better tires get Mudlight. ( good for mud and way better then stock for in sand) and pipe and jet it. it will be totally fine

never believe a salesman, they will try to sale ice to eskimoes and water to a drowning man.

they are in it for one reason to make as much money as they can off of YOU.

the 250 will feel slower in the sand than in the dirt but it will still
be fun.

good way to put it

Salesman doesn't know jack. My daughter rides nothing but Glamis.

i wish i could ride in the dunes. it looks so much fun. put some paddles in the rear of it and go with it, it would be good...

She is set up with paddles now. It makes a big improvement. I'm getting her a K&N and exhaust, plus shocks for this season. She rides that 250 all over glamis.
