87 Honda 200sx reverse problem

I recently went outside and cranked my honda 200sx for the first time in like 5 years....regardless to say it cranked right up first try. I rode it for about 3 hours than the chain started popping off. I had it in reverse and the chain popped off I cut the fourwheeler off and fixed the chain. Now its stuck in reverse the reverse light stays on and I can not get it out of reverse to crank it. Whats the problem??
