Did Suzuki fix the shift pin breakage problem for the 07 model or does it still need the Shifter Pin Relocator Plate?

Posted by: raptor0443

from what i understand you should do it to the 07's as well, i just got done doing mine and it was a piece of cake.

I have an 06 and I am not sure what the shift pin is and why it needs to be changed?

Posted by: Trx250rider86

well i will be get a ltr with in the next week or two... not sure if 06 or 07 yet prolly 07,

but from what ive read...if you land on the shifter, you can break the shift pin? correct me if im wrong

I've got a buddy with an 06 I think it is an he is having problems with a false neutral....would this be related at all?

They did not fix the problem on the 2007 LTR450. So you will need this item on any 2006 or 2007 LTR450. This is a MUST have part.

No Problem .....

Does Suzuki pay for/provide the replacement part? If not where do you purchase one?

Posted by: AL Elks

NOPE! Not unless it's under warranty and then they will only replace the case.

Posted by: utahxjer

alright, where can we get the part we need then?

Posted by: Trx250rider86

Cernics has them, fuelatv also. thats all i know

Walsh race craft has a shifter pin modification. And it will fix a broken case.

Does anybody have a link to where you can buy them, also how much are they?

Does anybody else make these for less? All it is an metal plate with some hole drilled in it.

'07s' also have a weak case, you should be ok if you are running a stocker or mild build, but if you want to start cranking HP out of an '07, you will need an '06 case. This has been found out by Team Suzuki and other builders, they are putting '06 motors in their '07 race LTRs', see info over on the HQ site.

wow... i guess i should try to find a 06

What do you's mean by "false neutrals?" i dont have this thing on mine..is it really that important? like i read the threads but i still dont get what it does, and what could happen if u dont have it..???

can some1 let me know. thanks,

Landon

some people were landing on the shifter or just jamming it and since there isnt much support for the shift shaft they were breaking...what this does is it supports the shift shaft so that wont happen...it is a good investment to make. And what they mean by false nuetral is when you shift from one gear to another is it will pretty much go to nuetral and you can hear the gear spinning.

will this cure the false nuetral or just prevent it

??
