I'm looking at a 400ex rolling chassis that I want to build a hybrid out of, what are some of your opinions on motors to put in it. I was kicking around a cbr600 or something like that, I work in tool and die so I have access to everything needed for modification but how would that compare to a 650 thumper or a 400ex with a boondocker kit. or any other suggestions. I already have my primary quad, I just want a screamer.

I would put a 440 snomobile motor in it if I was on a budjet. you can pick up a old race motor for cheep because they are swaping to 600cc sleds for next year.

But if I wasent on a budjet I would take a machz 1000 motor and strap it in there.

Either way it would be fast.

Is there any issues with cooling using a sled motor.

They are the same as any other liquid cooled motor as far as I know.

I know guys that run snomobiles in the summer doing saw dust jumping. They just drive throu a water hole to cool doun their heat exchangers.
So if you ran a radiator im shure you would be fine.

husaberg 501, i wanted to do this awhile back, it would be a super reliable powerful engine. only thing is you would need to fab up your own swinger or modify the one you have cause it kicks on the left and has the chain on the right
