alot of people say that the stock trx ignition is not good when it comes to upgrading parts like pipe, porting ect... becasue it misfires or something. What are your takes on this? Should I go with the stock ignition or buy an aftermarket one. And if so, what one. i want to run a headligt as well. Also, people say they mod the stock one to make it better. I am lost, just need some help.

I run a lrd ign. I would like to get a jennsen racing coil. I am pretty sure that lrd does not make that cdi anymore. but yeah I would get a newer one. the stock one works just fine. it's just old.

My stock ignition works fine like on my engine: ported, race gas, 195 lbs of compression, some say its hard to start, but its easy to me with the incresed compression. If you go to alky then you will want to use an aftermarket ignition. If you have the cash then by all means go aftermarket, I've heard good things about Dyna FS ignitions.
