sup guys im in the process of building a 440. I got a bigger oil tank from CFM but now that im thinking of it, should i put a bigger oil cooler on it also? What do you guys recommend brand wise? Can i take one off of a car? What kind of car? I work at a saturn dealership, would one of those work? Let me know. Thanks.

i have talked to several people about larger oil tanks, because i also have a 440 w/ 12.5 comp. They told me to stay away from the because of where it is located. because oil attracts heat, by putting more oil in your just making your oil temp hotter. i have heard of people using auto trans oil coolers out of jegs or summit, or taking 2 stock coolers and run plumbing. hope that helps you out. oh and on mine i bought some radiator scoops, and that has helped keep mine cooler.

Hmm, i work at a saturn dealership and the tranny coolers that we use are universal. So i may use one of them. What did u guys use though to customize the lines?

well iv never done it but you might be able to use some AN fittings and some steel braided hose. i would check on summitracing.com or jegs.com.

I'm in the process of installing a 2001 CBR1100 oil cooler in the place of the stocker. All that's left is modifying the return line to fit and it'll be done.
