well i searched up what oil to use in a 06-07 400ex and i read that if you use synhetic oil for the first oil change or so that the rings won't seal, then what should i use for the "break-in",
i usually run in 10-35 degrees celcius, so what should i use for the first few hours so the rings seal (how long to will that take?)
i was going to use amsoil 10w-40 synthetic for the temps is that ok? after what you guys recomend me using for the first rides
thanks for the help

use nonsynhetic 10w-40 then after 2 or 3 oil changes your can switch to synhetic

I second that, use regular 10w-40 then switch to synthentic but i also heard not to use fully synthentic because it will slip the clutches and eventualy waer them out ture i dont know, but what i do know is that no weres in the manual does it recomend using any synthetic oil.

Run 10W40 for 3 oil changes, Then you can run any synthetic that is safe for clutches. I run Klotz MX4 full synthetic. It is safe on clutches. A little more money but, smells good and I have noticed the engine running a little smoother and about 5 degrees cooler.
