ok thanks

i personally dont like HMF.... get a sparks or anything else with a head pipe cuz the HMF's head pipe is to big for the little 250 motor it lets to much pressure out instead of holding back a little bit so you have punch but instead with HMF you dont....... its up to you but thats my 2 cents!

dude it fine as long as you give it the air and fuel it needs the guys gettin paid $100,000 a year know what they are doin to design pipes

im gettin a hmf ,i love the sound an it makes more power than most other exhaust .its also the cheapest full system.

Posted by: 250exkid

that was just my to cents now dont be hate'in lol i just likes sparks sound better cuz it growls better and is waay louder lol

Posted by: m.h.s.c.#527

i dont i called sparks 104 dbz hmf 116 dbz

I just ordered a full hmf exhaust off ebay with filter head pipe muffler and jets for 240.00 shipped, i found that to be by far the cheapest, i dont know how it will perform but i am sure it will be fine. dirt wheels actually did a hmf on there 250ex and said they liked it the best beside the fact it was to loud and they suggest the quite core for it, but they say they are top in performance so i will give it a shot especially for that price.

hmf is not 116DBS ARE YOU DUMB!!! lol man o man its common sence maby a straight pipe lol!!!

Posted by: ryanh250ex

There is no way that a HMF is 116 db's. I could buy it being about 105 db with no quiet core or spark arrestor, but even that is kind of extreme. I remember DW testing a HMF exhaust way back when they first came out on the scene, no quiet core and no spark arrestor was 108 db's on a 300ex.

having a bigger header isn't necessarily a bad thing, it means more top end power not to mention it will shine when combined with other modifications that allow for more exhaust flow such as port and polish or a cam. low end power can still be maintained depending on muffler size/design.

im saying on a 250ex you really dont need a huge header just somthing bigger then stock.

have u ever had an hmf or ridden with one with the 4wheeler equivelent to urs with mods.

I have an HMF and I like it. I never road or heard any othre 250ex's with other pipes, but I know when I put the HMF on my bike it felt a lot less.. restricted. The rev limiter helped as well.

About 3 years ago when I owned my 250ex I had the DG Full exhaust. IMO being the only exhaust I have owed the puppy made a day and night difference. I remember when I had to sell the bike I reinstalled the stock exhaust and ol boy what a difference it was almost like I lost all power and wheelies where so much more difficult to preform at high speeds but that is just my 2 cents. I sold the exhuast on ebay about 3.5years ago I wonder where it is now?lol...later everyone

BTW I am blown away with the after market parts avaliable now for the 250ex it has made me want one so bad again esp. since the C.D.I mod is avaliable boy I would have killed for one of them a few years ago.
