I need a thumb throttle to use on a crf450 motor that has the 2 throttle cables.

you dont need both cables. just use one. and find a raptor throttle housing. dont use a 250r housing your thumb will be dead in 5 mins.

I used a YFZ throttle cable on mine. I already had a Raptor thumb throttle.

A 400EX and also a TRX450R both work, and like previously stated, you don't need both cables. Just plug up the hole in the carb assembly where the cable enters.

Is there anything to worry about or anything I need to check when using the single cable on this or is it a simple "plug and play?".

what about a yz426 engine and carb? use a yfz450 cable and a raptor throttle housing?

400ex thumb throttle and yfz450 cable work perfect on my crf, the yfz is the best cable because it has an insane amount of adjustment to it.
