the 300ex is great, awsome on the trails, and with some mods it will be good on the track also, thats a tad pricey for 1950, does it have anything done to it?
i say talk him down a little,

whats the best pipe for a 300ex? what other parts would be good for trail and race that i could get for a 300? & where is the cheapest place to get them?

Posted by: honda300EXtreme

ok when you get your 300, heres what ya need to do.

hmf slip on sport series, with a White brothers head pipe,

a k&n filter, and a airbox lid from EHS and jet it properly, and that thing will run pretty good.

trust me with the hmf it is bad @ss, i love mine.

and if you have the money definatley upgrade the suspension,

as far as prices go, you just need to look on ebay, and places like rocky mountain ATV, and all the other places.

if you have any more questions, feel free to PM me

curtis sparks is the best pipe it may be a lil expensive for a trail rider but its the best IMO i bought mine for $400 from www.sparksracing.com

Don't get the sparks for trails. Its way to loud, go with HMF.

i ride all the time w/ a kid who has a hmf slip on and its as loud if not louder than my sparks

Posted by: amx_#02

and the last time we rode we were playing in the snow and the pipe fell of b/c the bottom mount broke off on it

If they want $1950 for a 99' 300ex then they are smokin. Not worth it regardless of the goodies on it imo.
