yea i had one on my stock pipe good sound it takes the underwater sound out of it

it's a cheap alternative to buying an exhaust.

dont forget to rejet the carb.

dont worry about it i would take ur air lid offbut if u can jet going up a jet or 2 couldnt hurt

your dealer should have them. Depending on where you live i would go up to a #95. Thats the next size up from stock

yea dont waste ur money on a jet kit go to the parts counter and get a 95 individually its hell of a lot cheaper but do u hear n e pops when u get on real hard or when u let off the gas if so rejet if not dont worry about it so much

it runs really good.i dont know if it's me or it really feels like it's got more humph .wouldnt taking the air lid off lean the motor out?

Hondas in particular come pretty lean in factory form for the sake of emissions (CA). You'd be wise to rejet.

it looks good, i dont have the tools or the time to make one,it sounds better,it probably did gave it alittle humph. so yeah it's worth the $50 to me.

dont worry about it its pretty sick drill just a very small hhole in ur header right at the front of the bend it will echo off everything but i would rejet then though

3k above sea level and low 30s....try a 102 main. you may or may not need to adjust the e-clip one notch lower than factory. might be a little rich with that particular main once it warms up, see if it runs any better with the lid off.

an E clip is a clip in the shape of an E and it clips to your fuel needle so you can set it low or high when your jetting the atv.

FIRST, SORRY FOR THE ALL CAPS GUYS. I AM AT WORK, AND OUR TERMINALS CAN ONLY TYPE THIS WAY.

I BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE BILLET END CAPS FOR MY CRF230. IT LOOKED PRETTY NICE, AND SOUNDED REALLY LOUD. I WENT BACK TO EBAY AFTER I BOUGHT MY '07 250EX AND SURE ENOUGH, SAME DUDE SELLING SAME TYPE BILLET ENDCAP FOR THE 250EX. I ENDED UP GOING WITH THE OTHER ONE LISTED ON EBAY THOUGH. DO A SEARCH FOR PHOENIX SPARK ARRESTOR. IT WORKS FOR 250EX OR 400EX. AFTER READING ALL OF THE POST, I WAS A LITTLE MORE OF A SUCKER FOR THIS ONE. GOT IT TODAY, AND I LIKE IT ALOT BETTER. WELL, YES AND NO. IT SOUNDS FASTER!! SERIOUSLY THOUGH, I ADDED 6 AIR BOX VENTS, ADDED THE EXHAUST CAP, AND REJETTED WITH A DYNOJET KIT. TWEAKED THE FUEL SCREW. ALL TOGETHER, IT MADE A SLIGHT NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE (FOR A SMALL AMOUNT OF $CHEDDAR$).


THE ENDCAP ALLOWS MORE AIR TO FLOW. MORE AIR IN (AIR VENTS) AND OUT (ENDCAP) + REJETTING = MORE POWER.


REALLY NICE SOUND!!

im also curious about drilling a hole in the header ?

I think it would be like a leak at the head/header and just make it pop a little but why the hell would you want an exhaust leak in the header ????????????????????

well duh it will be loude , just take the silencer ofthen your running all header thats loude, now put a hole befor the silencer it mostly comes out of there. tto me thats a wast of a header pipe and there not cheap! but it might sound nice for a wile lol
