I oiled up the rubber bushing in the steering stem but when I tighten down the clamp, the steering is extremely hard. Any ideas what I did wrong?

only thing i can think of is did you get the raised part of the bushing back into the clamp right?

Yes, everything is installed correctly. Maybe its because of the powdercoating.

you didnt say anything about powder coat

if you just had it done then yeah thats it
