i got mine primarily for looks, but they are much more comfortable as you can get the exact sweep and height you want. aftermarket bars also reduce vibration quite a bit and "give" or flex a little more than stockers during hard hits, while being stronger too. this is especially true with fat bars that dont have a cross bar. they are much less rigid and much more forgiving.
