my 250x has no top end at all, im going to be rebuilding the topend soon, do you guys thing it could be the cam or something with the valves?

any one? it's allmost like its hitting the rev limiter at like 1/2 trottle.

Could be a valve/cam problem. Also timing chain and tensioner. You may even want to make sure your main jet didn't work loose and fall into the carb bowl.

I wouldnt doubt that your cam lobes could be badly worn to where theres not much lift and your rocker arms are worn badly as well,if they are too far gone it wont let the motor rev out.

ok, ill check these things out.

Adjust your valves to .004 while your at it, for more compression.

or increased rocker arm wear

That's okay. Those Honda valves will wear a lot faster than the cam and rockers.

my 250x is doing the same took my top end off and my rocker arms n cam were prettyy cooked now in the process of changing them and i neeed help on getting the cam off so if u change your cam let me kno how it goes

Just unbolt the cam gear and the cam will come out.
As far as the rockers you will need to cut notches in the dowel pins, heat the head cover, then pry the pins out (using a screwdriver or cutting pliers on the notches) so that you may take the rocker shafts out. After that the rockers will pretty much fall out for you.
