How Do I Get The Steering Stem Snap Ring Out?

I have an 86 TRX250R and replacing the original bearing at the bottom of the Steering Stem. Everyone has tricks to taking these damn things off and getting them back on. I have been trying to use Nose Needle Pliers, but they get loose and I can angle the damn thing! Anyone have suggestions?

Just needed a larger set of needle nose pliers. Damn thing asked for specific size needle nose with the right size nose and length to extend through the holes at the end! Thanks!
