I'm wanting to buy an aftermarket CDI. There are so many out there. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've had some guys I work with get Dynatek, but $250-325 is a little high. Is the Dynatek really worth the extra money? I've seen Procom CDIs on Ebay for $60 and $70. Are they any good?

What do you have done to your quad? Will the CDI be the only mod or do you already have some mods that would benefit from a cdi?

I have a Yoshi slipon, K&N filter, jet kit and geared down one tooth on the front sprocket. I'm planning on cams after I get the right CDI.

i was wondering the same thing because the rev limiter is so low and i have a 13.5:1 compression pistion, intake and exhaust cams, port and polish, 40mm FCR carb, full pro circuit t4 exhaust and i know
you get what you pay for so any recommendadtions would help

I had the same questions about cdi's before. Only cdi I have ever used is my dyna. I was contemplating a cheaper cdi, but I have heard so many stories about the pro-com type ones being junk that I figured why bother. That and I didn't want to be stuck with the feeling of "I should have bought the dyna". I was gonna get the programmable one but at the advise of paul from advantage i went with the non programmable and I couldn't be more happy.

You have the same mods that I have. IMO you will want one that adjusts your timing curve, instead of just raising your rev limit.

yo i have an advantage cdi box it is 170 bucks and it is adjustable up to 2000 rpms... i think it is worth it

go with the dyna either programable or nonprogramable. they are one of the best out there. if you do that mod you will also want to add drz valve springs so you dont float the valves. go to advantagecycle.com . they have a whole drz kit that is really worth it while you would have the motor apart.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I never thought about changing the vavle springs to make up for the extra RPMs. I think I'll probably go with the Dyna. That way I won't be second guessing myself on my purchase.
