Like the title says, Im thinking about building a hybrid. I need some advice on which frame and engine to use. If I do build one it would be a budget woods racer, nothing really expensive, just something to ride in the trails and occationally some xc races. I was thinking about a 400ex with a yz426 engine but not sure yet. Any suggestions, and keep in mind nothing too expensive.

less the cost of the 450r motor. I spend mabie 200$ to install my motor. It all depends on how much of the work you do yourself. If you have to have the frame sent out and modded, custom swing arm bushings made. ext, that is where it can add up.

im 17 and did it. Not that age has much to do with anything.

like he said, it all depends on your level of skill and whatnot

OK, I think I'm going to do it. I think I'm going to start with a 400ex rolling chassis and prob still go with the 426 engine.
