Hey guys. I will be making a trip out to Glamis from the 12th to the 21st with a few of my closer friends and a lot of other people, around 60 total I beleive. It's my first time and was just wondering what to expect. Any dangers? Tricks? I've only ridden on the East coast so far and look forward to going out there. If any of you guys are going to be there that weekend let me know mabey we can hook up for an afternoon ride or party. One more week.

ANY DANGERS!!! YEA EVERYWHERE, WATCH OUT FOR WITCHEYES THEY WILL EAT YOU UP AND SPIT YOU RIGHT INTO THE AMBULANCE, IVE SEEN IT A HUNDRED TIMES, JUST TAKE IT EASY WHEN YOU COME TO THE TOP OF A DUNE UNTILL YOU SEE WHATS ON THE OTHER SIDE, COULD BE NOTHING COULD BE A 50 FOOT RAZOR BACK. GOOD LUCK GLAMIS IS AWESOME JUST GOT BACK FROM THERE YESTERDAY. ILL BE AT GORDONS WELL FOR PRESIDENTS DAY. GLAMIS IS A LITTLE BIT TO CROWDED FOR ME ON THE BIG WEEKENDS.

When you get to about 7ft from the top of the dune turn one way or the other and crest the dune on a 45 degree angle. The quad will kind of jerk as it crests the dune and pull you over to the other side.. First thing you do is look at the bottom of the dune on the other side. This determines how fast you can hit the bottom of it w/o killing yourself.. For your first time always follow, never ever lead.

Thanks guys. I'm going out with a good friend that has gone out there 6 times I beleive. I plan on following him the first few days to get me feet wet. I usually don't stray to far from the MX tracks around here with the occasional trail so this should be fun. I also heard that you shouldn't ride mid day because of the shadows? Is this true? I can see how it makes sense. I guess it's like riding a snowmobile around noon. All the same color and no shadows make it hard to judge depth and distance.

i usually dont have a problem with mid day- its usually later afternoon for me when the sun is setting, and when you are riding into teh shade from the sun and cant see anything...

You will have a blast!!. Look out for dropoffs, razor backs, and other riders. Air down your tires to 3lbs and trer it up. Just got back from a three day weekend and it was killer. It's one of the best places in the world to ride, but be carefull because it can kill you.

differnt angle of banshees. I heard that they are putting down some rediculous numbers on the dyno. This whole thing is pretty exciting for an eastern motocrosser. It's not every day that I see streetbike transplants and 80+hp banshees.
