....that supposedly bonds molecualrly with palstic?

Did it work good? Did it chip or wear off ? How durable is it?

i used it to paint my sport bike, it looked pretty good too, and it didnt scratch too easily, but i dont know how it would hold up on a quad, roacks and sticks might scrape it alot

i dont know if i would use that paint on the side panels though, your legs rub it alot, and that would probly wear it down alot.. maybe not though, ask mxjunkie about it, he used it on his banshee

here is a pic of my bike, only the lower fairings were painted with krylon, but it turned out pretty good, and it covers really good too, cause it was a yellow bike, but as you can see, its not real shiny, but i didnt try any clear coat or gloss coat or anything, and after all this, i took all the plastic off it anyhow, lol

My biggest question is regarding durability. How well does it hold up against scratches, wear, etc.

i think if you were to ride mainly on an mx tracks, you would be good, or wide trails, but if you rode on alot of tight trails where branches were always hitting your quad, it would scratch lightly, but i have 3 coats on in that pic, and it held up good, it wont chip off at all, and it takes ALOT to scratch through the paint, i had one spot where it went down to the original color, but that was so deep, it went through the paint and into the plastic, and it was done with metal

That paint works really well actually and is really durable as long as you put enough coats of paint on (probably like 4 or 5 good coats). And it does look really good too!! I wouldnt be affraid to use it at all.

I think I'm gonna do a test. Paint a piece up with a number of coats, then do a scratch test.

i painted my gas tank cover on the old 400ex and i has held up well. the only time i had any trouble i was harescramblin and my stem got bent and let my bars rub the cover. i also painted some red handguards black one time that held up alright but they were getting hit alot.

It doesn't hold up well to extreme flexing, but it will work great on your plastics, and won't scratch too bad. I used it on a junk set of plastics I had on my 250r last year, and I was happy with it.

my budie had it on his snomobile and it did not hold up at all. The cold weather made it flake off wicked easily.

how would spray paint hold up on the frame of a 400ex. I'm thinking about sanding it good, then priming and painting it. Just curious if anybody's had any luck with it. Thanks everybody

i dont think thatw ould be a good idea, it wont hold i bet, not comepletely sure, u need thick strong powder coat or something like it

I'm doing a test right now.

my brother used it on his YFZ it held up great on his frame, he had his frame sandblasted and put like 6 or 7 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear and it has held up very well.... he also has frame gaurds and all skidplates to protect it tho. im thinking of doing it to my quad soon.

I would do about 3-5 coats of the paint then 3-4 coats of clear if on plastic i would do about 2-3 of each. Just my
.02 I did paint the clutch center cover on my blaster and it looked cool. Held up real well except where the boot rubs from shifting and evenstill it just faded some.
