So In my service manual it says after you clean the filter to coat it with engine oil, is that just any old engine oil or is there a specific type. Also it say to put Lithium soap based grease on the mating surface to help seal it. What is that and where can I get it besides the dealer cause I am sure they will charge an arm and a leg.

you can use engine oil but there are better oils made for off road foam air filters. I would use one of them.
they want you to use a little grease to help the filter to seal to the box so dirt don't get in. YOU can use most any hight temp grease. you want high temp so that it don't melt and run in to the engine.

you local shop should have it also.
just make sure you get it for a foam filter not a cloth filter like the K&N
