How much Hp does the cherry bomb really add? What else nee to be done to make the CB work the bst.? ALso, with all the stock chassis upgrades, are there any must haves to make a good MX bike?

get a cherry bomb, take your airbox lid off, and take the baffle out of the pipe, the power difference is amazing, especially for $30

You should really do some research on your quad. It's the BEST MOD PER DOLLAR......

This bad boy is mad for MX out of the box.

Tell you what, post a pic of "your" quad and I'll send you a CB for free. Reason for pic is I don't want to send it to someone who doesn't need it.

The CB it self doesn't add much at all (1/2hp at best). Opening up the airbox and taking out the baffle is what adds the hp. The CB only tunes the EFI for those mods.

I appreciate everyones help. I just got back into riding and am trying to soak up all the info on the new stuff. I'm an ex 250r Mx racer. I"m not new to the sport, just the new 4 stroke world. I started racing a tecate-4 in high school.

I picked up a z400 about 6 weeks ago. I already see it not going to be enough even with $2-3K.Not after being a previous 250R MXer. so, I've been picking brains on the different 450's. The problem is, you can't test any at any dealerships. I finally rode a stock LTR this last weekend. Realized right away, the z400 has to go.Everyone has a different opinion. I think I'll be picking up a LTR this weekend. I can get a close out 2006 for $6399. Not to bad. Any other easy add ons for the LTR is appreciated.

definatly agree...take the air box lid off, put a cherry bom on it, and u got a sweet ride...and it costs next to nothing!!!...

wat if u dnt use the cb and just do the exhaust n airbox lid, i jus bought the quad and cant afford the cb right now

Why would you take a chance on ruining your motor over waiting to save up $40 or sweet talk danltr450 and maybe he will cut you a deal on his extra. A little power isnt worth screwing up your bike...esp $40
