Any MX pics?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: MxDale71

There have been a few MX quad pics posts, and big air posts, so I figured I would ask to see any MX pics at all. Whether your just in a corner, straight away, or on a 100' triple... if you got a pic you wanna show off, I would like to check it out. I've been lookin for some cool pics and I think i've already seen every MX pic on every website imaginable and I wanted to see some new ones.

Thanks.

P.S. I'm gonna post some of my pics tomorrow when I feel like scanning them.

Turn one, I am in dead last, it was my first race on my built motor and carb, the jetting was off or had trash in it so it wouldnt hardly come off the line, but once it was going it was fine, I started dead last both motos and finshed 5th in both, got a 4th overall, proably my most fun race ever.

Double, kinda tricky for me, its more of a dirtbike jump it has very little run at it. It looks small in the pic but its a decent size jump, plus you kinda come out of a hole and land up top so its a mental game. I have to use the berm around the turn in 2nd and nail it and shift to 3rd WOT to clear it anything less and back tires will hit.

not much here but I like the pic

that's a nice looking jump. i can see where it would be hard to get the speed for it.

Jason, cool pics man. The big air shots are cool and all, but I like just checkin out pics from different parts of the races too so thats why I started this post. If you're ever down in Texas again, let me know. I didn't have any front brakes when the TQRA race was a Weatherford so I didn't race, but I race a full moon series race at Village and it's a pretty fun track. You ever ride at Swan, Badlands, Caddo, Fourstates, or any other tracks like that?

Oh and what kind of bumper does your buddy Kyle have on that Dale?

Posted by: MxDale71

I was in 2nd in that last pic.

Here I am again in the 2nd corner... still in 2nd. That shee infront of me is FAST! He rode against all the intermediate riders the day before and got like 2nd place... I was runnin the Novice class so that guy was a MAJOR sand bagger.

Posted by: MxDale71

Here's kind of a small pic of me.

Posted by: MxDale71

Here's me w/ the plaque I won after that race.

Posted by: MxDale71

One last pic of some little air on a small step up.

Posted by: MxDale71

In about a week or two, I'll have some new pics of just my quad, and then hopefully if I start racing again soon I'll have some new racin pics. I'm ordering some new headlight covers and coolant resevoir on Monday, and my rear shock is already sent off to RNS Racing for a rebuild. After that I'm ordering an axle and I'll be racing again!

Not sure what kinda bumpe Kyle has, he is a test rider for Cannondale so he's always got new prototype stuff on it, and a different quad each weekend.. I've raced at Caddo when I had my blaster back in 99-01. It's still one of my faves. I was at the North Texas nite series race at Village back in July. I was visitin some friends. Do you know Austin Wilson, Kenny Wright, or RJ Slayton? Theyre all good friends of mine. I'm supposed to move back to Texas this summer in like July, but Ive gotta see how school goes. My dads a Marine and hes gettin close to retiring. Job opportunities are a lot better in TX so my family wants to move back. I'll let ya know when its time!

Posted by: Derek

Hey Zittal im coming with you tommy and pappy.

Posted by: Clay

Its pretty decent i guess. Its really too small for a full pack of quads. It had a ****in tricky rhythm section in it. Warrior86 and I both had a bad day on it. He endoed into a face of one, and i did my best impression of a kiss of death. LOL. :devil

Darkstar racing - I was thinkin about posting some pics of me standing next to my plaque instead of behind it, but I posted those somewhere else. You can check those pics out at hotporn.com. :devil

Posted by: Mity Mo

How many A riders do they normally get there in Sturgis,KY My bro and I were planning on racing that series this winter. And do they pay well for A or Pro riders? Mo

Posted by: Clay

They usually get 6-8 per race. (thats a full gate of quads there) Sometimes they get more and have to do heats and a main. Not sure how they pay, but come down. Ill be running the two stroke B class.

me and mxdale71 were both there at that race. did you race or were you just watching? i know kenny and rj. kenny is really fast and a good racer. he had a crash though that night at village. he really likes that 250r a lot better than the 400. i met rj at mosier valley practicing. i don't know him well, but from what i understand, he's one of the better racers in the metroplex. he's supposedly building a crf450, but i don't know the status. last time i talked to him, he was waiting on his frame from walsh.

i hope you get to move back. quad racing is getting a lot bigger down here, which means we will get more tracks letting us race.

I was just watching. Kenny didnt race that nite though, his dale was in the shop. And it was his girlfriends bday that day. I talked to RJ's girlfriend last weekend and she said hes still waiting on the motor and the frame, and that he basically has nothing. I used to smoke Kenny back in the days when I rode a blaster and he rode a warrior, lol. RJ was one of the fastest riders around 2 years ago. Then he stopped for a while. He used to be able to give Johnny Hale a good battle, along with the Miller boys (I'm sure you know them if you run TQRA). I started racing about the same time as RJ which was back in the middle of '99. Man those were the days!!!! You can see pics of RJ and some older race pics here. http://photos.yahoo.com/racer_x573 theres pics of RJ's old 400EX, and a lot of good action shots!

Posted by: MxDale71

Scott... I think you're thinkin of Kenneth Kelly. I sure would like another race at Village Creek... I had some *****ty @ss luck that night. In the 1st moto, my grip was halfway fallen off and in the 2nd moto, I stalled it on the start and then lost my seat in the 1st lap! I swear I still have plastic lines on my @ss! LOL, j/k! I sure as he// didn't give Cannondale a good name that night... :blah :square

Posted by: racerx573

LMAO.

Posted by: MxDale71

Racerx - Do you remember seeing some idiot on a red C-dale racing the last moto of the quad int. class w/o a seat?... I was that idiot... Please don't judge my riding skillz by that night... kind of a messed up day of racing for me. I'm a bit faster than that at most other tracks but that was my first time there and my first Intermediate class race.

Scott - wasn't that your first race since you got knocked the f*ck out at Badlands? I should be back and racing in a few weeks now! But I'll probably just practice a lot for the rest of the season instead of race because I'll be a little low on cash. I might race a few races though because I'm tryin to get a sponsorship deal worked out... HOPE THAT WORKS OUT!!!

oh yes, i was scared s***less out there. that crash really put the fear of god in me. because of that crash, i have two new rules for myself:

1) don't jump anything big when someone else is right in front of me

2) don't jump anything i'm not totally comfortable with

i learned the hard way that i'm too old to be going full-out. i still have fun though
