what i would do is take the lid off ride it around the yard and see howw it goes that should act as if there were holes in the lid

ok thanks

just took off the lid run better but its seem to dye alot any think i can do to fix that turn up the idle

you need to adjust the air screw.also use a foam filter it will flow more air and you need an outetwear cover.

ok sounds good

If you remove the lid you really do need to rejet.

If you're running the stock pipe, it will bump you up to a 125ish main. You'll also need to slightly enrichen the idle circuit.

Buddy tried this with his 300EX after I did it with my LTZ. I gave him a K&N and we played with the jetting but it didn't really seem to make much of a difference. The trade off wasn't worth it based on were the airbox is in relation ship with water and mud. On my LTZ I have a power lid and the airbox is more under the seat. The EX is pretty exposed.

out wears are worth the money..... they repell water and keep your filter from getting water logged

If you cut a hole or take off the lid you must rejet or burn her up.
It's easy to rejet just do a few searches and learn. Heres a picture of mine that I cut out and slipped over an old pair of pantie hose that I had laying around. It works real good. I got an outwears cover for my Z400 and it works real good also. REJET!
