i have an 03 250ex it has a slight tick to it but i just want to make sure the valves are adjusted.is there anywhere i can find on how to go about adjusting the valves?

A clymers manual tells you everything you need to know step by step. It tells you everything else you can think of too.

I know but i was hoping someone in here might have known of a site or if there might be any articals on the internet that might tell you how to go about it.

dirtwork just adjusted my valves they did it 4 me 4 free but they said it would only cost about 60 bucks to take it somwhee n do it toally worth it dude

$60 is most likely a fortune to a lot of 250ex owners.. hey brandon, why dont you do a little write up on how to do it and maybe some of these guys can save a chunk of money. its more fun to learn how to do it yourself anyway.

I can guarentee I adjust my valves better, and watch what I am doing better than any dealer. Most of the time you are just a dollar sign to them.

id rather save the money and know its being done right than pay a ridiculous labor fee and not even know if they're truly at the correct clearance. its not hard to learn..
