just brought my new project home today.
it's a mid 90's blaster roller. prev owners did a little hackin' at the frame for there own motors, but nothing was ever finished. so here it sits in my garage in all it's ugliness(it is UGLY!) waiting for it's new HEART
what is it you ask...well, i've had this 600cc 4stroke out of an '86 yami xt600 sittin' around for a couple of years just itchin' to be put into a quad.
"but mike...it will never fit!" you say.
oh but it will, and it did.
that's right...out in the cover of darkness, with only the dim glow from my porch light(sigh), it's in.
i will try to get pics up as i go along. (or as $ allows).

thanx for watching!!!

I wanna see it hurry up MIKE. Hey what a coencidence the guy i sold my 2001 blaster to was named Mike and last i heard was putting a 400cc street bike motor in it. Imagine a Big ol' black guy about 250lb of muscle sitting on that little thing thats what it was

you should probably run a tube right from the top frame rail down to the bottom instead of just piecing in that one...the frame lost a lot of its strength when you cut that frame rail out

first off, i like what youve done with the blaster! my little brother is talking about putting an old ninja 500 motor on one of his blaster frames and these pics are gonna help him alot. does anybody around know of someone that has done a late model 600cc swap into a 400ex type frame? ive got a 400 chassis and a crashed 2001 R6, been planning it for a while and i think its time. id like to get some pics so im not going into this totally blind. any help would be great, thanks

I was thinking about doing a sport bike swap when I first started my project, but decided not to since I wouldn't have much practicality. I had a ton of link that I'll post if I can find them.
