the 660 most likely but if you do alot of jumping/sand trails the 400 will handle better.

take both in case you break one ?

dont know about rappy, but i do 400ex in the sand and jump it and its AWESOME!

The rappy would have more power in the dunes. A 400ex gets around the dunes just fine though.

actually a raptor isnt much better, an ex will get just as far and its handlin and jumping ability is alot better.

Raptor is my choice for sand. I am speaking from experience.

My 400ex I could barely hit 5th gear with a 416 kit. Also when going up decent size hills trying to jump i could only hit 3rd most of the time.

The rappy I could hold it almost Wide open in 5th gear and it was alot faster.

the 660 is faster straight line, top heavy.

the 400 fly's better, better shocks,lower center of gravity.

you will love riding the sand, its so clean and addicting.
what are all your friends riding ?

if they are running banshee type you will feel left behind on the
400ex (prob. feel last on the 660 too)

if they are running other 400's/250r's etc. you will be right in the
mix.

Go for the raptor in my opinoin. I have an ex and it did ok in the dunes but i could hardly ever pull 5th gear. Raptor just has a lot better power and is much easier to ride in the dunes.

are you kidding? as far as duning 250rs should be much faster... not only are they right there with the majority of the banshees for up the hill speed, but their handling and etc makes them muc better and faster to ride in the dunes...

and, i have a buddy who has several bikes, one being a 400ex, and i would bet that 90% of the people on this forum would have a hard time keeping up with him at glamis...

2 strokes dif have the advantage in sand, but with that said the raptor imo would be the better choice, tons of power

Neither, they both suck. I owned a trx and have alot of seat time on raptors. Honda = to slow Rappy= to top heavy. Get a 450, or predator. They are all much better in the sand

I traded the 250r because it was just sitting in the garage, sat for 4 months.

my wife wanted to get into riding but the 250r was too much for her. so I traded it for a new 250ex even up.

it was a super clean quad with just a few bolt ons, it still had the key/tool kit/even had the air box lid when I got it.

im guessing value wise I got 3500 or so but I got a atv the wife can take out and go riding with me.

I climbed every hill at winchester on my 400ex, it may not have been the fastest up the hills compared to banshee's and some raptors but it made it up everyone that they did. even if I was in first gear by the top of dune. I had a blast on mine!

Hey whats up

If you love tanks get the rappy for the sand ,if you like the slideing and jumping youll get the 400EX .Oh and the only thing a rappy has on a 400EX is 40 pounds and a Taller gear,and this is from the SandNut.
