that good smelling stuff is the worst possible thing you can run in your engine. it gunks everything up. i highly reccomend amsoil... its amazing how clean it burns and how well it lubricates.

klotz r-50 or kl-100 here. as mentioned, it can be a lil nasty if the jetting is a bit phat but, if the joints are sealed as the should be then there isnt a real problem with a mess.

Best smelling is Klotz.....Best oil IMO is Yamalube

I just picked up a 250r and the guy said he always ran 1 container of Golden Spectro per 5 gal of 93-94 octane fuel. To get a 40:1 like a lot of guys seem to like, that would need to be a 16oz bottle, but the spectro is only like 12oz, isn't it? Is running that lean safe? He said it never had any problems and seems to run good to me. I've always ran Castor 927 in the past, but always open to new stuff.

WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT EVERYONE?

I had an '89 CR125 which I always ran Maxima Racing Castor or Castor 927. It did smell nice. I've been thinking of switching from Golden Spectro @ 50:1 in my 250R.
However, the more I hear about it, even though Castor Oil seems to be great high-performance stuff, it seperates from gas at lower temps? I ride my 'wheeler year round and don't want that to happen.
The guy I bought my 'wheeler from said he has run Golden Spectro- 1 bottle to 5gal of Sunoco 94 since he can remember in the dunes and never had a problem. Should I change? Probably not.
