is there a difference between the trannies in the typhoon 125 adn the 70/90

The 70 comes with 2 gears out of the crate, the 90 I believe has 3, and the 125 has 4. My son has the 70, I put the pins in it, to allow for 4 gears. That's the only difference that I know of, as far as gears go. If you do not have 4 gears than I would put them in or put the washer in it that prevents the quad from getting stuck in gear, so to speak.

ok so what are the differences. i am trying ot figure out which is better a 90 then mod it or a 125 stock for now then mod. from what i know the 70/90 run on stndard xr50 pitbike parts and upgrades. where as th e125 is some oddball motor.

there's not enough differance in the price in the 90 and 125 .
you'll spend alot more money making the 90 run as good as the 125 . and there's only about $100 more for the 125. the 125 is a copy of a KLX 110 . Bigger clutch bigger gears .

thansk that is what i was trying to figure out. but if i find out that they are limiting local racing ot 90cc that is what i will have to go with.
