ok whats this black box for it has 3 tubes on to the valv e cover one to the starter and on to the air box i thinks its for emisions any one have any idea if i got rid of it and put a T in what would happen???

i was also wondering if the exhaust was able to be repacked and if i could put the collent tank lower than the radiator????

i was wondering the same thing. my old z400 had one like it and i never could figure out what it was for. i think air lines run into it..

any hose that comes from the valve cover or crankcase do not block off. it is there for ventilation.

yeah i took it off of my bike and put on little breather filters not a good idea. when the bike is run hard and building crankcase pressure it blows the oil into that tank from the head then lets it drain back into the motor it makes a mess and the oil level goes down etc. etc. also if you are in a cold weather area the condensation build up freezes in the line and will blow the plup out of the front of the (learned this the hard way racing at lake george) this also happened to a friend of mine the same weekend so its a good idea to take the tank offand clean it out once in a while
