Is this a common problem area on 03 Z400 frames? At first we thought that the bushing was really bad, but it turns out the whole assembly broke off!

i had my bushings go bad on my 03 and replaced them all, but never had that happen nor have i seen that happen before. pretty amazing it would break off, that area doesnt get a ton of stress.

My 03' did that as well. It was cracked all the way around it with only about a half inch of the weld holding it on when i stripped it.

Wow! Havent seen that one yet. According to the picture the weld never penetrated the plate the tube was welded to. I would have a good welder repair it and it should be BETTER than new.

Me and my dad were pretty amazed to that it broke there. I heard of the z400 frames being weak, but never in that area.
