Now I am confused. on the Mobil wesite they state 15w/50 is great for supercharge and turbo cars. Why put this in a 4 stroke when they have a 10w/40 mobil 1 for motercycles9atv) 4 stroke engines?? Wouldn't mobil market the 15w / 50 for motercycles and atv if they thought it was better then the 10/40. Just trying to make sence of this. Why not just use the the 10/40 also people say synthetic makes the clutch slip is this true or just bull. thanks

air cooled engines run a lot higher oil temps than liquid cooled motors. the 15w 50 oil has a much higher thermal breakdown than the 10w 40. in short, it will run cooler and last longer between oil changes. as for the clutch slipping, i've been running mobil 1 for a long time now and no clutch slipping. it's the additives that some syntec oils have that make it slip.

I started using mobil 1 15W50 and right away I could tell a difference in how much cooler it run's.
