ok i have a 2006 yfz450! The front suspension is so stiff it beats me to death i adjusted the preloads all the way out and turned the dampener out to but it still rides like there is no suspension and beats my arms to death. So my question is, is this normal for stock? Is there any cure for this besides spending 1200 dollars on aftermarket shocks? if you have any tips on how to fix this please help me!!

try raising the front shocks up a lil bit worked for me

Posted by: yfzcrazy

what do you mean raising the front shocks?

Posted by: whoamack22

at the top of the shock crankem down on the threads to raise the front end a lil

Posted by: yfzcrazy

are you talking about the preloads rings at the top of the spring?

Posted by: whoamack22

yea but try crankinthem down instead of uplike in the pic

Stock YFZ is stiff as hell! All those clickers on stock shocks seem to only click without any changes! Get a good steering stem demper and flex handlebars. All this will reduce fatigue a lto!!!!

i wegh 135 and its beats me to hell i turned the compression all the way out 23 clicks and it was a big diff. but still after 30 mins of riding felt the same lol. just save up for the good stuff!

Send your shocks to GT Thunder. Laz works magic with stock shocks.

Well if you call this BIG DIFFERENCE, try Motowoz shocks, u will see what big difference is!!!!

At 135 you are a bit under the average size. You'd probably benefit from a rebuild.

I apperciate all the replys i guess i will just have to save the money for the rebuild or some wallet killing new shocks!!
