In 4 wheel atv they have tips and tricks for a 400 ex. Mickey Dunlap says you should use gas with a lead additive to help the engine cool. He also states to use a DP9EA plug . It lowers the head by 5 degrees. If you do these to things the engine will last longer. Oil They recomend Redline and Kendall?? has anybody tried this. I have been using Hoda 4 stroke 10w 40. any insight would be great. I just changed the oil put 2 qts in rode 2 times and i was empty always check the oil I had no leaks either.

it shouldnt be empty after 2 times

There must be an oil leak on your bike. Even if the rings are blown it couldn't suck down two quarts in as many rides.
