400ex to 250r susp.?

I know this has most likely been covered before, but would an aftermarket 400ex +2's and shocks fit an 88-89 250r fine? they are walsh and pep i think. Thanks guys.

they will fit but the mounts on the r frame are 1/4 inch wider then the ex-1/8 inch on each side

would that require modifications or spacers of some sort?

you could use washers-but i just got 1/8 inch steel and cut out 16 plates the same size as the mounting tabs-i drilled the holes after cutting the plates would have been easier to drill first then trace template and cut-i put the tabs on with epoxy first then slid the bolts through-after the epoxy dried i welded em up-looks almost factory and is alot stronger!
