I have a 2005 yfz450 and the chain has busted the
crankcase were the shifter shaft is...
i have a warranty would it cover??????

I highly doubt it. They will say it happened due to neglected maintanance. Changing out a case isn't that bad and one can usually be found on E bay. If you buy brand new I believe they are only sold as a pair, cost is around $350-$400. If you buy only one half then check carefully at the match up on the top where the cylinder bolts on. If the two surfaces don't meet up very well then the cylinder could "lean" to one side when tightened. There are companies that will deck the two cases but you have to send them both.

also when geting a half I would check on the guts lining up especially the tranny shafts and deffinatly deck height as previously noted...

This is one part where the Yamaha's are cheaper then Honda on parts.

Listing is no longer available to view. I am sure I seen a whole set on E Bay Sunday night for around $300.
