Remove paint from sub frame look good?

I see the stock sub frame is painted silver/grey. I know thats on their so it dont rust but if I remove it and sand it down and put clear spray paint on it what will it look like? Will it look aftermarket?

ull have to take rly good care of it to keep it from rusting... spray paint wont hold up enough
