i was wondering are the banshees as high maintenence as people say they are because they are my favorite atv and i wanna buy 1 but if they are going 2 b breakin down often i dont wanna bother like how often does something break???? thanx

The motors are really reliable. Just keep the filter clean, cables lube, gas mixed, and everthing clean. It is going to need the same maintenance as any other atv (new sprockets, chain, bearings, etc

Word!

All bikes need maintenance...

do u have an idea how long before the engine blows?? or any engine problems thay will occurr

well you can blow the engine within 5min of start up or run the same engine for a few years without problems. Like mentioned its how well you MAINTAIN it. Treat it like ***** and thats what you will get in return.

so like what things do you have to maintain because the only 2 stroke ive had is my goped and ive had it 4 a couple years

They are good machines if mantiended properly.

Change oil, Clean filter timley.

Make sure you run a good premix ratio. I run 32:1. No need to run less.

Make sure its jetted properly. A 2 stroke is more fussy then a 4poke.

Let it warm up. No need to start it up and rapp it out right way. 2-strokes need to warm up take the time let it warm up for 3 mins or so. Get on it drive it slow for a couple more mins, then slowly start getting on it until it cleaned out. then your good to go.

so should i get 1 or should i stick with a 4 stroke?? i want one but i dont want 2 be spending money fixing it alot i want a reliable bike that i spend more time riding than fixing

Your going to have extra money in fuel. Since you have to mix the gas. In stock trim you will be fine with the stock set-up. The only thing I would do is get a Pro design airbox mod. The stock set-up is crap. Its when you start modding is when you start running into tunning trouble. What kinda riding you do? If it were me I love my banshee but I really like my two 4 pokes.

32:1 for fuel and oil, keep a good up keep , it also depends on what a motor has already been threw, i 've had a motor last for 4 years, i've also had a motor last for a summer, just make sure theres good compression and you should be alright...

If you don't want to spend money on maintenance, then you'd better not buy a 4stroke. These new motors are not the reliable 4strokes of yesteryear. They are designed to replace 2stroke performance and they are NOT cheap.

The best bang for the buck honestly is a modestly modified 2stroke.

Banshee is not as easy to do wheelies on but you will get ust to it. Should be a good bike for that. For those long wheelie you don't have to worry about no oil to the engine. They say thats what happened to my buddies 450. He did wheelies all the time for miles down the road. and the crank went out. Blew a hole in the case. They said it was starving for oil. Thats what the shop said. Don't know if that is true. Hond did cover it though

Not if jetted correctly. I have Vitos pistons too and my engine has later almost 4 year now. But its getting tired and needs rebuilt soon.
