just added a standard bore 12:5:1 higher comp piston. for the money, this mod was great! after the break in period, i noticed a hefty increase in throttle response and the quad revvs alot faster around the mid to high rpms. for only around $150 you cannot go wrong with this mod (just make sure you run at least 93 octane)

im gettin ready to put mine in the shop this weekend and have a bunch of stuff done. I just got done with the brake in period. Here come 550 bore port head new valves and springs and hot cams. boy it brings a huge smile to my face.

yeah, even my larger 558 piston still revs alot quicker than the stock one. sounds more like a 450.

91 octane is the highest pump gas we can buy here so 11:1 is the highest I would ever want to go and probably will if I don't trade for a 525.

yeah big bore kits sure do pack a punch. just make sure you keep up on your maintenence
